ISRB Mentorship Programme

The ISRB mentorship programme is aimed at helping post-doctoral fellows and early career principal investigators transition to independence. By providing online panels, question and answer sessions combined with workshops throughout the year we will provide individuals with the opportunity to develop the skills to successfully apply for, negotiate and start their first job as a group leader in academia.

The programme is coordinated by Dr Sumru Bayin who has successfully developed and implemented the ‘Leading Edge’ workshop series, together with Dr Mekayla Storer (early career group leader) and Dr Cagri Cevim (post-doctoral researcher). Implementation of the programme relies upon recruitment of volunteers within the ISRB community of which will receive training/ instructions from the coordinators.
