Dear ISRB Member,
This year we will elect two new officers for our society which will start their terms in September of 2023:
President ElectThe President Elect will serve for two years, then progress to President for two years and then become Past President for two years. Thus, each President will be in post a total of six years. The President Elect plays a crucial role in the ISRB by helping to coordinate the ISRB Biannual conference, liaising with other societies and organisations and working with the President and members of the board to facilitate ISRB activities.
The Treasurer will be in post a total of four years. In addition to working with the members of the board to facilitate ISRB activities, the Treasurer oversees the financial running of the ISRB by managing collection of membership fees, banking transactions and working with the ISRB accountants to produce an annual financial statement.
Each candidate should be proposed by two nominators that are members of the ISRB. The nominators and the candidate need to work together to generate a nomination letter that:
1) speaks to the candidate’s scientific contributions, achievements, and impact on the field of regenerative biology.
2) outlines candidate’s experience in leadership and administration
3) candidate: state your motivation for serving as President elect or Treasurer.
What would you like to achieve for the society during your term on the Exec Board?
Please email the nomination letter, cosigned by two nominators and the candidate to email@example.com by the 15th of March 2023. The board will select no more than three candidates from the nominations to be voted upon by the membership of the ISRB. An electronic election will be held from April 15 to May 15 that will be open to the ISRB membership.
Informal enquiries can be made to the current President, Kenneth Poss.
